Owning A New Puppy

Well, owning a new puppy, while a joyful and exciting experience, can come with a lost of challenges. Because, in our opinion, having a new puppy/dog is in many ways the same as having a child. So yes your God feeling that you should be prepared mentally, physically and financially is damn right!
You maybe  realized that no matter how much you thought you were prepared, a new puppy came at you with constant potties (not always outdoors), super sharp baby teeth, and a whole slew of unpredictable things.
But fear not, my fellow puppy lovers! Here is the ULTIMATE list of things that you will need when you bring home your new fuzzbutt. And when you do, remember to enjoy each and every second of it, because we all know they grow up way too fast!

What do you need to have before owning a new puppy?

Pick up these items to make your pup's homecoming a smooth one.
  • Collar & leash.

Your puppy will need a collar and leash the day you bring her home. There are many products on the market, but you are very welcome to check our permium leather dog leashes and collars in our store. Right now you can even find them on discounted price for a limited period of time.

  • Crates and containment devices

According to Cesar Millan , a must for any puppy owner, crates and containment devices keep your new pal in a confined area where you can monitor and housetrain him. You will need a dog crate or carrier, and an exercise pen, playpen, or gate when you bring your pup home.

Hard-sided crates and travel carriers are made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel, plastic, and fiberglass. Though the stainless steel crates will last a lifetime, the lightweight plastic and fiberglass varieties provide a measure of safety and security for your puppy while driving or flying. They also replicate a cozy, warm den — especially when you outfit it with a soft bed or blanket.
When choosing a crate or carrier, make sure that your pup can stand up, lie down, turn around, and stretch inside. Though dogs prefer to have a close-in den-like space, they also need room — but not too much — to feel comfortable.
  • Excercise pens
If you are unable to keep a watchful eye on your puppy, you may also wish to purchase a pen or some baby gates to keep him corralled. Exercise pens are a set of portable wire panels that confine your pup to a specific area. You can adjust them to fit just about any space. Baby gates, which are used to cordon off restricted areas, prevent him from roaming where he shouldn’t.

      Training Your New Puppy

There are endless resources on this topic literally everywhere. Sometimes the overflood of the "knowledge" and" the best tips" can be scary and confusing. Our recommendation is to do your homework and start with your own research first. Also ask the dog owners in your neighbourhood what they did and who is their favourite dog trainer. Then take an action "test - operate - test and exit". Every puppy is different individual and it does not exist like the universal formula. Believe in yourself and I am sure you'll know when you do things right and when you are sucking up them. Then, don't hesitate and ask for help immediately! However some things you can begin on your own such as a house training your new puppy.
